David Hamilton Park, which was originally built in 1987, has been modernized to include new play areas, a splash pad, multi-use courts, new walkways, seating, lighting and sports facility upgrades.

The south playground, soccer field*, multi-use court*, walking loop/lawn and Anglesey Court entrance opened in 2019. The splash pad opened on July 14, 2020 and the north playground and baseball diamonds* open on July 29, 2020.

Ed Sackfield Arena and Fitness Centre Expansion 

Ed Sackfield Arena has been expanded and the new wing includes an NHL-sized ice pad, a new fitness studio and aerobics room, new change rooms and a 180-metre all-season indoor track, the first one in Richmond Hill.

The new ice pad will open to permit holders on August 4. The fitness centre and walking track remain closed until further notice due to COVID-19.

New program rooms in the original building will be available for booking as of August 4, but capacity will be limited due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions.
