RICHMOND HILL – In response to the needs of residents during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Richmond Hill temporarily suspended the enforcement of a number of parking restrictions.

As the community gradually re-opens and children return to school, these restrictions will begin to be enforced again.

Effective September 8, 2020:

  • All parking regulations are back in effect in school zones, including Monday to Friday restrictions on stopping, parking and standing within 500 metres of schools
  • Overnight parking (2 a.m. to 6 a.m.) is not permitted on city streets unless a temporary parking permit is obtained. Permits can be conveniently purchased online at parking.richmondhill.ca
  • There is a 3 hour maximum for on-street parking

Residents can review the parking rules online at RichmondHill.ca/Parking.
